SCOOTA: Socket Controlled Object Oriented Tool for Animation
Scoota uses messages sent over a socket to control 3 dimensional objects, including their position and color. Although it does not require matlab simulink, a Simulink controller is available, allowing Simulink users to control animations from there models.
Blended MBDYN:
A graphical users interface for the open source multi-body dynamics software MBDyn. It is embedded in another open source application called Blender, an incredibly functional 3 dimensional modeling tool.
